What type of game is Bungee Gum?+
Bungee Gum is a closed-community, lore-based Roblox game heavily inspired by the Hunter × Hunter universe and genre. It is a true permadeath game: progression is only available through permadeath (PD) events. If you die during one of these events, you lose your character and access to the game.
Why permadeath?+
Permadeath makes your character’s life meaningful. Bungee Gum aims to offer an immersive experience where players value their characters, build lasting stories, and treat survival as part of the journey.
How does progression work?+
Attend permadeath events to earn stat points and develop your character through roleplay. The Lore Team provides a storyline, and players’ decisions can influence how it unfolds.
Events offer activities and opportunities to obtain fighting styles, gain advantages, and make a name for yourself in lore while creating your own story.
When will the game release?+
The closed-community release date is still to be determined. Future announcements will provide more information about testing for Patreon members and the game’s development.
Access & Paid Content
How do I get access?+
Access is granted through wave events, held periodically when the project leads decide the time is right. Community capacity is limited because abilities are unique to individual players.
Patreon members support development and receive wave priority alongside other membership benefits. Purchasing access may become an option closer to release, but this is not confirmed.
Is Patreon a one-time purchase?+
Patreon benefits depend on an active membership. Membership grants the Patreon Discord role, access to the Patreon channel, and wave priority. If your membership expires, these benefits end and the bot removes the associated roles.
How do I get a custom ability?+
Custom abilities are rare and open only occasionally, primarily for contributors or investors in the game. Most players will have canon abilities. Custom openings are limited, with around six slots offered at a time, one per typing; availability depends on the current openings.
How do I link Patreon and Discord?+
In Patreon, go to Settings → More → Connected apps, select Discord, and choose Connect. If Discord is already linked but your benefits are missing, disconnect it and reconnect it.
If this does not resolve the issue, open a ticket in the support server and include proof of purchase.
Miscellaneous Questions
How do I contribute to the project?+
Contributor or investor recognition requires a sufficient contribution through funding or other support. Contact a project lead with what you would like to contribute. Contributors who help make the project a reality receive compensation.
How do I get the Artist or Content Creator role?+
Send a staff member a direct message with proof of your work to be considered for the role. Requirements may change in the future. Contact a project lead if you have further questions.
How do I become a developer for Bungee Gum?+
Join the Dev Hub server and open a ticket using the provided application format, then wait for a reply.
How do I join the staff team?+
You can join through a staff application or by being handpicked or recommended.
